Reanne & Julio Married 4-2-2011 at Norfolk Botanical Gardens
I had the pleasure of doing the wedding photography for Reanne and Julio at the Norfolk Botanical Gardens who were married on April 2nd, 2011! The weather on Saturday was pretty crazy (even for Virginia!) and the wedding ceremony had to be moved from the Perennial Gardens to just outside Baker Hall under the overhang because of the heavy rain showers that kept moving through. Some quick and professional work by the Norfolk Botanical Gardens staff made the move extremely painless! No inordinate delay at all!
It was a great bilingual wedding ceremony followed by some EXTREMELY fast family formals so we could get them all done before dark and in between the rain showers. I spent some time with the wedding party as a whole then on to just Reanne and Julio by themselves (keeping close to cover in case we got another deluge) and into their reception they went.
Blue Steel Lighting Design did a great job doing the up lighting and strategic pin spots to turn Baker Hall into a pretty magical looking space for the reception. Creative Catering of Virginia also did a wonderful job with food, drink, decor and all that other good stuff! Reanne & Julio, their bridal party, family and friends all had a great time!
