The base chapel on Fort Story in Virginia Beach was the setting for the wedding of Heather and Johnny. I got to know this couple very well in the months leading up to their wedding. Love them both, very genuine, down to earth, easy going types. (they’re both runners too, and I find that most of my runner friends don’t sweat the small stuff too much). It was a beautiful ceremony, and Johnny had arranged for a sword arch for their official exit from the church after the ceremony. (which is what you see in the photo below). Their wedding reception was held at the Old Cavalier Hotel at the Virginia Beach oceanfront. It was CRAZY! (in a very good way) People were having so much fun with the parlor games that Heather and Johnny had placed on the grounds up on the hill that they extended the cocktail hour till nearly dark so people could enjoy the gorgeous weather and the spectacular views. Congratulations to Heather and Johnny!
